Jean’s Bio

Welcome to my corner.

When asked to describe myself, I would say I am a “little Italian girl.” But to truly give an account of my life would take more than three words.

A lifelong love of reading always inspired me to write for myself and my family. First, for my younger brother, to make him laugh and to help him read. Then for my children and their friends.

It wasn’t till later in life that I gathered some of the stories in the hopes of bringing joy to others.

My first release, The Tiger and The Pomegranate, was born from a present I received from Indonesia. It is a glass ball with a running tiger in it.

Besides writing, I love to bake, teach the craft of pasta making, and enjoy nature.

Other things I’ve written;

Flash fiction is fun to write, and I will update this site periodically with some stories.

Many picture books are in the queue. One of those will likely be the next to be published.

I am noodling some young adult and suspense.

Books I’ve read.

I recently finished the Correspondent, which was very good. I liked how she tied up the ending.

A fun book was “The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife” by Anna Johnston.

I recommend “Olivetti” by Allie Millington.

Let me know if you have suggestions I might like.

A silver retractable ballpoint pen lies on a plain, light-colored surface, casting a slight shadow.

What’s cooking?

For those of you who remember Balboni’s Bakery, this is my attempt at star bread. Yes, it was good.

I love baking.

I only made four different kinds of cookies for Christmas 2025.

Of course, I made some Harvest Loaves too.

I always like ideas for stories.

What are your thoughts on a setting or a character? Is there an issue that you would like to see presented?
